Sir,

Realistic solutions are what we are looking for, Tim, not pro-nuker fantasy bullshit.  Remember "any nutcase with a wad of cash or a credit card can rent a corporate jet" as someone put it not too long ago, so we are a long, long way from making it impossible for a nutcase to get an airplane.

Besides, they still give pilot's licenses to nuke industry workers and ex-workers, which includes, unquestionably, disgruntled, knowledgeable people who would know exactly what part of the plant to fly their rented 727 or hijacked 767 into to do the most damage -- say, the spent fuel pool, or a dry storage cask.

Thanks again for trying to keep up with the fast-changing situation and growing public ire with the nuckular industry.

So, you think that nuke plants are "vulnerable" to
terrorist attacks from airplanes?

Even if true, which I do not agree it is, what is the
solution?

The solution is to strengthen airport security.
Unless, of course, you feel that it is just dandy if a
terrorist hijackes a plane and flies it into any
building ... just as long as it's not a nuke plant.
